Workshops
Offering both presentation and interactive approaches to addressing teams.
Presentation topics can include: communication, substance use, sleep, confidence, team values, informal leading, mindset development, performance acceleration, stress management.
Interactive workshops can address some of the following topics: identifying team values, communication, building trust, building confidence, and creating a winning environment.
Team Contracted Hours
Athlete’s Edge offers a la carte services via for contacted hours/sessions with teams based upon their needs. This can include a variety of services such as one-on-one athlete sessions, coach’s sessions, observation time, or team sessions on a monthly or season contracted basis. These services can be virtual or in-person dependent on team location and Jen’s availability. Specifics are open for discussion.
Small Group
Athlete’s Edge offers leadership coaching for captains, but also offers leadership prep coaching for upcoming athletes or informal leaders. Topics discussed can include: communication, identifying values, creating action plans for team development, being a role model, and leading with a purpose.
Recommendations
Athlete’s Edge offers observations of practices and/or games to assess the teams overall function and dynamics. The coach/GM/AD then is able to sit down with Jen to discuss her observations and recommendations to support the team in reaching peak performance and a healthy team dynamic. These recommendations are reviewed during a discussion and provided to the team in written format.
Life Skills Training
Life Skills Training can occur in both full team and small group formats. Athlete’s Edge is dedicated to supporting athletes in gaining skills to allow them to reach peak performance, which sometimes includes having the life skills to maintain a health sport vs life balance.
The vast variety of topics can include: professional communication, basic interviewing, time management, academic/assignment management, determining career pursuits, deciding on a college or a major, money management, laundry and cleaning skills.
